At a glance:
My sociological background is ever present in my work, and studying everyday interactions is what gets me excited to get up and out of bed every morning. In my PhD research, I have the pleasure of studying the role of everyday interactions for individual-level risk perception.
On a methodological level, my expertise lies in the statistical data analysis and machine learning. I have experience in such diverse methods as multilevel regression analysis, topic modeling analysis, and Implicit Associations Analysis (IAT). I’m proficient in R and SPSS and have received training in SAS and Python.
Finally, I’m passionate about teaching innovations. I’m a proponent of (responsible) generative AI use in the classroom, I have experience with developing interactive videos, and I try to retain a flipped classroom mentality to the extent possible.
